Comica VM40 | New Firmware Upgrade

1. Upgrad the Recording Gain Range

Addressing issues such as low recording volume and noticeable background noise. The update improves recording input adaptation for better recording quality.

2. Optimize 32-bit Float Recording Compensation Algorithm

Enhancing the dynamic compensation effect of audio recording, resulting in smoother and more natural volume transitions in both quiet conversations and loud environments.

To ensure a smooth upgrade process, please prepare the following items before upgrade:

• A computer
• A USB data cable
• VM40(TX) and its receiver(RX) need to be upgraded
• The latest firmware package

1. Go to the Comica official website, click Support → Download → Firmware Upgrade→ Shotgun Microphone : https://www.comica-audio.com/d...

2. Download the latest version of VM40 firmware upgrade package.

Step 1: Upgrade the VM40 Shotgun Microphone (TX)

1. Ensure the VM40 is powered off.

2. Press and hold the "Function Button" and "Mode Button" simultaneously to enter Copy Mode.

3. Connect the VM40 to the computer via the USB data cable.

4. Downloaded and copy the firmware upgrade package to the "VM40 TX-UPDATA" folder recognized by the computer.

5. Disconnect the USB data cable from computer and restart the shotgun microphone, then it will complete the upgrade automatically.

Step 2: Upgrade the Receiver (RX)

1. Ensure the receiver is powered off.

2. Press and hold the CH1 or CH2 button, and long-press the power button. The receiver will enter Firmware Copy Mode.

3. Connect the receiver to the computer via the USB data cable.

4. Download and copy the firmware upgrade package to the "VM40 RX-UPDATA" folder recognized by the computer.

5. Disconnect the USB data cable and restart the receiver, then it will complete the upgrade automatically.
