On June 2, Comica released the 2.4G wireless shotgun microphone VM30, which is another breakthrough of Comica in independent R&D and technological innovation.
As we all know, there are many inconveniences in audio recording by traditional wired shotgun mics. Interference noise, wire entanglement, and distance restriction caused by audio cables have always been problems for mic users.
To enhance mobility, some users will connect the shotgun mic to an extra wireless transmission system. But it still cannot settle the limitations of transmission distance and battery life. Moreover, the cumbersome shape and additional cost also cause a lot of burden to users.
In order to continuously improve users' audio recording experience, the Comica team went deep into the market and conducted a lot of research work, and finally proposed the solution of wireless shotgun microphone.
Shotgun Microphone + Wireless Module
the Breakthrough in Size and Function
Although the intention is ideal, R&D is full of difficulties. Comica's team leader said that it is not easy to integrate a wireless module on a shotgun microphone.
The first difficulty is the volume problem since the barrel of the mic is relatively narrow. And how to integrate the wireless transmitter and battery into the mic body, while taking into account battery life and signal transmission stability are tricky issues. It is necessary to use every space of the mic for layout design to ensure the compactness and lightness of the device.
The R&D team has gone through countless trials and adjustments, as well as repeated testing. Finally, the engineers overcome this technical problem and successfully integrated the wireless transmitter module and battery into the mic body, achieving a great breakthrough in size and function. This achievement has also been successfully approved for the national utility model patent. The certificate number is 17362458.
Excellent Recording Solution for Multiple Scenes
Comica VM30 provides a new solution for audio recording. With the 2.4G wireless transmission technology, VM30 integrates the directivity of shotgun microphones and the freedom of wireless microphones and greatly improves the stability, transmission distance, and battery life. It provides great convenience and flexibility for video shooting, voiceover recording, simultaneous recording, live streaming, and other scene applications. Users no longer need to worry about wire entanglement and distance restrictions and can move and record more freely.
In addition to wireless transmission, VM30 also supports wired transmission, and the two modes are available at the same time, which provides audio backup during dual-camera video recording or live streaming to ensure audio reliability.
Create Product Ecology and Extend Functions
Comica users may be surprised to find that VM30 continues the ecology of previous products and supports connection to BoomX-D/BoomX-D PRO series receivers. On this basis, users can achieve more extended functions, such as connecting a VM30 and a wireless lavalier microphone transmitter to achieve dual-channel recording, to meet the diverse needs of more scenarios.
We believe that VM30 can bring content creators a more convenient and efficient recording experience. Comica will continue to focus on user needs, upgrade and innovate technology, and provide more new possibilities for sound recording.
