To improve the sound quality experience in the wireless transmission mode and provide more possibilities for the ecological expansion of Comica products, VM30 adopts the same wireless transmission technology as BoomX-D and BoomX-D PRO.

VM30 shotgun microphone + BoomX-D series transmitter+ BoomX-D series receiver

2 * VM30 shotgun microphone+ BoomX-D series receiver

VM30 Receiver Extended Combination:

VM30 receiver + BoomX-D series transmitter

* The VM30 receiver is single-channel and only supports one transmitter.

Accessories Compatibility

To meet the needs of diverse scenarios and equipment applications, VM30 comes with a shock mount and a microphone clip, which can easily install VM30 on any device with a cold shoe, 1/4, 3/8, or 5/8 interface.

When using the VM30 on the camera, you can install it on a shock mount, and fix it to a camera or a camera cage through the cold shoe of the shock mount. In this way, the shock mount can filter the camera shake and reduce the sound floor noise when the camera is moving.

Common tripods and light C-stands for photography and video have 1/4 screws. When installing on those stands, you just need to screw the VM30 shock mount on the 1/4 screws.

Boom stands, desk stands, mic stands, and some professional tripods generally adopt a 3/8 interface. In this case, VM30 can be fixed by the microphone clip.

Some boom stands adopts a 5/8 interface. In this case, take out the 5/8 to 3/8 screw inside the microphone clip, and then screw the microphone clip on the boom stand.

Tips: When using the VM30 with a tripod, C-stand, or boom stand, we recommend placing the VM30 as close to the sound source as possible without exposure. If you are recording a human voice, it is recommended to point the VM30's head toward the speaker's larynx for a brighter and clearer sound.
