Mixing and Non-Mixing Modes

In order to better meet the needs of multi-camera recordings, the four-group BoomX-U QUA is designed with mixing and non-mixing output modes, as well as two 3.5mm TRS output interfaces. In this article, we will introduce the mixing mode and non-mixing mode in detail, their advantages and uses.

The receiver is designed with two 3.5mm TRS audio output interfaces, which can output the mixed audio through either interface or output the same audio track through two output interfaces.

The audio tracks of A and B transmitters are output through OUT A/B, and the signals of C and D transmitters are output through OUT C/D.

If three or four transmitters are connected, two 3.5mmTRS-TRS audio output cables are required. Because the camera usually only supports two-channel input, it is recommended to use BoomX-U QUA with a multi-track recorder when you need 4 split tracks. Recorders can be connected via two dual-head 3.5mm TRS-XLR audio cables.
